So our final photo project for Photojournalism class was to make another publication, assigned yesterday, shoot it then, and today, design and print it tomorrow because it is due Monday. So the project is the Inside and Out of Philadelphia, the way people would not normally see it. we were supposed to turn in 6 shots, i stuck with 8 i kinda liked. Part of our assignment was to shoot these places from as many different angles as possible. Not just straight on but looking straight up, sideways, looking down upon etc. So basically i just got in my car and drove around the city for a day and half until my car eventually died on me briefly which is when i just started walking around the city. It was a great assignment, i wish we had had more assignments like this during the semester. Well here are my shots.
A Woman Rushing down the Ellsworth Federal Subway Station Stairs.
Going down the escalator at the Market Subways Station near City Hall.
The Saint Rita of Cascia Shrine on South Broad Street.
Looking through the gate towards the Philadelphia High School for the Creative and Performing Arts. Also on South Broad, stands out.
A curious little fellow at the Schuylkill River Dog Park, right near the river around 24th and Spruce street.
On the banks of the Schuylkill River, looking up at Walnut Street. A lady is carrying groceries.
Staircase leasing up to Walnut Street from the banks of the Schuylkill River.
The sun, setting over the Schuylkill River. Looking at this photo, it is hard to believe that this is the murder capital of the United States.
